Our
Ministry Team Emet Ministries's vision is to teach, live, and share the truth of the Scriptures. The ministry is based out of Newberry, South Carolina, and is led by Daniel and April Rendelman. The couple has been married over twelve years and have five children: Moshe, Judah, Joshua, Isaiah, and Rebekah. The late Rabbi Earl Jernigan of Davar Chaim Beit Midrash ordained Daniel a teacher/rabbi in 2002. Daniel has also been ordained by two other organizations. In the mid 1990’s, Daniel was the youth and music minister, when his Southern Baptist church became Spirit-filled. About that same time Daniel began researching his “Jewish” roots. He knew that his father had spoken about his Jewish upbringing, yet Daniel was raised a Christian. One day while at
work at the Christian Bookstore Daniel managed, Rabbi Jernigan invited
him to a Erev Shabbat service. That first Friday night Daniel and his
family were exposed to a completely different style of worship. He was
very apprehensive about the Messianic movement and had his concerns
about the validity of the Torah. During the next eight months, Daniel
and his family spent much time in research and prayer, looking Through his studies and service, all doubts were removed as he began to experience the peace and fulfillment found in submission to the Torah. His family began to keep the seventh day Sabbath, use the Sacred name of YHWH Y’shua, eat clean foods, and celebrate the Holy Days. Slowly, through study and submission to the Torah, they were regaining their Israelite identity. As months passed, Daniel’s faith began to look less “Christian” and more “Jewish.” Because of his transformation, he was fired from his job as the manager of the Christian bookstore. He was also given 60 days to move out of the home he rented from his Christian employer. His family recovered from these hardships with an increased trust in the Creator. Today, Daniel works fulltime as a manager of nine retail stores for a cellular provider in South Carolina. In 2003 Daniel and April started Emet Ministries as a home group Bible study. The Emet web site was launched about the same time, featuring Daniel’s teachings in audio, video, and written forms. In 2005 Rabbi Earl Jerinigan passed away and passed the leadership of the local group on to Daniel. Since then he has led a small group in South Carolina into a deeper faith with YHWH. Each week, Daniel’s articles are featured in the Newberry Observer, the local newspaper of his home town. In 2009, Daniel published his first book which is titled “Finding the Truth.” This book has quickly become a go-to book for people wanting to learn the Messianic faith. Currently, Daniel writes a study guide and blog for each week’s Torah portion and is working on a new book of teachings about the Holy Days. He also speaks monthly at the Christ Central homeless shelter in Columbia and at local congregations or churches in South Carolina about the Hebrew Roots of the Bible. Emet Ministries has grown into an international outreach ministry, reaching people with teachings, audio messages, free resources, prayer support, and outreach programs. Emet Ministries is a member of the Messianic Israel Alliance. To learn more visit www.mim.net.
